Orlando, FL is known
for it's active
airports, hotels filled with tourists, theme parks and thunderstorms but
this May it is time to
rent a car in Orlando and explore
some of the cultural experiences
unique to the city.
Fulton's Crab
House Seafood Alaska
Festival
This is a mid-May through
mid-June
festival at the Downtown Disney Marketplace. This showcases the
massive amounts of awesome seafood Florida has to offer.
Inside/Outside
Cookout
This celebrates Norwegian
Independence
Day at Viking World Orlando 3-501 (the area lodge for Sons of
Norway). This cookout is both inside and outside and welcomes
everyone, with speaking opportunities and a chance to meet new
people.
Orlando Carnival
The Orlando Carnival is
staged around
Memorial Day, as this nearly two decade old Caribbean-style Mardi
Gras features a street parade downtown leading to Thunder Field,
opposite of the Florida Citrus Bowl where other events will be taking
place.
Orlando
International Fringe
Festival
The Orlando
International Fringe Festival celebrates the theatrical and
performing arts over a 10 day span—covering streets, theaters and
converted office spaces of downtown Orlando to form a creative good
time. The Fringe festival has roots extending to Scotland and has
taken on a life form of its own.
