San Juan Puerto Rico Policies and Procedures


Pickup/Shuttle Information
  • • Located 5 minutes from the San Juan International Airport terminal.
  • • Upon arrival please call 787-726-7350 or 787-726-7355. Then go outside baggage claim and wait for the shuttle bus. The shuttle bus says "Allied Car and Truck Rental and E-Z Rent a Car" on the side, and arrives within 10 minutes
  • • For additional assistance, please call 787-726-7154.

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations and No Show   
  • Car reservations are held for up to 1 and 1/2 hours past pickup time. If past pickup time by more than 1 and 1/2 hours the reservation is not guarranteed.
  • If the customer calls while in transit to inform us of a change in pickup time, the new time will be applied and the reservation will remain active.


EQUIPMENT
Baby Seat   
  • Baby seats are available upon request at the rental counter. They are $5.00 per rental day.


GAS
Fuel Options   
  • Return the vehicle with the same amount of gasoline with which it was received or purchase the tank at the time of pickup.
  • If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than received, the renter will be charged the market rate + $2.00 per gallon.


GEOGRAPHIC
Mileage Cap   
  • Unlimited mileage is permitted on the island of Puerto Rico.


INSURANCE
CDW   
  • Collision damage waiver is available for all rentals.
  • For economy vehicles up to Minivans, the cost is $14.95 per day and the deducticle is $350.00; or $19.95 per day and the deductible is $100.00.
  • For luxury vehicles, the cost is $19.95 per day and the deducticle is $500.00; or $24.95 per day and the deductible is $350.00.
  • For trucks and cargo vans, the cost is $14.95 per day and the deducticle is $500.00; or $19.95 per day and the deductible is $300.00.

SLI   
  • Liability insurance is required for all car rentals in Puerto Rico.

Local Renters   
  • Please check with the rental agents for local renter policy.


ONE WAY
Drop Charge   
  • One way rentals are allowed to Caguas for $25.00 and to Yauco for $75.00.

RESERVATIONS
Confirmation Number   
  • Your confirmation number is the number that you are given once your reservation has been confirmed. This number can be used to gain access to your reservation information, including your rates, or your rental information once you have picked up the vehicle.

Guarantee   
  • Your reservation guarantees a car at the rate, date and time (pickup and dropoff) that you reserved it for. It does not guarantee a specific make and model of a vehicle, nor can it guarantee a reservation for another date or date range.


RULES
Modifications   
  • We hold the ability to change these posted policies and procedures at any time.

Underage   
  • Renters aged 18 - 20 will be charged an underage fee of $29.95 per day.
  • Renters aged 21 - 24 will be charged an underage fee of $9.95 per day.


TAXES/FEES
Disclaimer   
  • Only those taxes and fees which appear in the estimated total of the reservation and/or the rental agreement are applicable for a specific location. The base rate of the rental is guaranteed for the dates and times of the reservation, but taxes and fees may be changed by a governing authority prior to arrival at the rental counter. Any changes to the taxes and/or fees will be shown on the rental agreement at the opening of the rental agreement. Adding additional optional charges such as upgrades, GPS rentals, etc. at the rental counter may effect the amounts of the applicable taxes and fees.

Sales Tax   
  • This is the sales tax for the state, county and city fees.

Surcharge   
  • This surcharge is dependent on the state in which the vehicle is rented in and is paid to the state for all rental vehicles.
