Pickup/Shuttle Information
  • Now located in terminal, visit our counter in the rental car area before picking up the shuttle.
  • Pick up the shuttle in the ground transportation area.
  • Courtesy phones are located in the North and South baggage claim areas.
  • The shuttle runs every 5 minutes to and from the airport.

Local Policies
  • After Hours Drop off policy - Lock the vehicle and drop the keys in the mail slot. Take taxi to the airport.
  • Local Renters receive 150 free miles per day.
  • Non-local Renters receive unlimited mileage.
  • Local renters under 21 are not permitted to rent a vehicle.
  • Please inform us of any delays that you encounter on your trip. During peak season, reservations will be held for one hour past your pick up time and during off-peak season reservations will be held for two hours.
CANCELLATIONS
  Cancellations and No Show   
  • Reservations are automatically cancelled after 2 hours of expected arrival time during off-season.
  • Reservations are automatically cancelled after 1 hour of expected arrival time during peak-season.

EQUIPMENT
  Baby Seat   
  • Child-restraint seats may be available at the rental location for an additional charge of $7.00 per day.
  • Please check availability upon arrival.
  • Children 5 years old or younger must be properly restrained in a child passenger restraining system subject to the following specific requirements and exceptions: Law does not apply when the child guardian obtains a physician written statement of a physical or medical condition which prevents restraining or placing the child in such a restraint. Exempt vehicles under the new laq include taxicabs and public transit vehicles. Multifunctional-school-activities-buses are also exempt for five-year-old children. Licensed childcare facility vans that have met certain state safety inspection requirements and are used for the transportation of children over four are also exempt, until July 2007, provided five-year-old children are properly restained by safety belts. Any such child weighing at least 40 pounds may be secured by a lap belt when the vehicle is not equipped with both lap and shoulder belts; or not including the driver seat, the vehicle is equipped with one or more lap and shoulder belts that are all being used to properly restrain other children.

GAS
  Fuel Options   

When renting a vehicle, our customers have the following options for payment of the fuel used during the rental period.

  1. Pre-Paid Fuel Option
    • The renter may purchase the Pre-Paid Fuel option at the rental counter at the time the vehicle is rented. The Pre-Paid Fuel option is the purchase of a Full or Half tank of fuel. The price per gallon of the Pre-Paid Fuel option is calculated by taking an average of the fuel costs at the pumps in the local market. The total price of the Pre-Paid Fuel option is calculated by multiplying the price per gallon of the Pre-Paid Fuel option by the capacity, in gallons, of the vehicle’s fuel tank as indicated by the manufacturer. By purchasing the Pre-Paid Fuel option as a Half Tank, the renter is only required to return the vehicle with an amount of fuel that is ½ tank less than was rented. By purchasing the Pre-Paid Fuel option as a Full Tank, the renter has no obligation to refill the tank on return of the rental vehicle. When any Pre-Paid Fuel option is purchased, there is no refund for any unused fuel remaining in the tank on return.
  2. Return Vehicle with Same Amount of Fuel or Pay a Return Refueling Fee
    • Renters who choose to decline the Pre-Paid Fuel option are required to return the rental vehicle with the same level of fuel as was in the rental vehicle when it was rented, or a return refueling fee will be assessed to the rental agreement. The price per gallon of the return refueling fee will be provided at the time the vehicle is rented and will be shown on the copy of the rental agreement provided to you when you rent the vehicle. The total price of the return refueling fee will be calculated by multiplying the price per gallon of the return refueling fee by the capacity, in gallons, of the portion of the vehicle’s fuel tank which will need to be refilled to bring the amount of fuel in the vehicle level with the original amount of fuel as was in the vehicle when it was rented. The capacity of the fuel tank is measured as indicated by the manufacturer. The price per gallon will be higher than the fuel cost in the local market.
    • To avoid a return refueling fee, the rental vehicle must be refueled within 10 miles of the return facility and the renter must present a fuel purchase receipt upon return of the rental vehicle to the return facility.

GEOGRAPHIC
  Geographical Limitations   
  • Vehicles are allowed to travel in the following states: Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee.
  Mileage Cap   
  • Mileage Restrictions only apply to local renters.
  • Local renters receive 150 free miles per day.
  • There is a fee of $0.39 per each mile over the total milege cap.

INSURANCE
  Accepting Coverage   
  • Coverage accepted at the time of pick up cannot be removed from the rental agreement unless the renter returns to the rental counter, has the vehicle checked by the car rental staff and signs for the coverage to be removed.
  CDW   
  • CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is not insurance. This coverage eliminates the renter and/or any authorized drivers financial responsibility if the vehicle is involved in an accident as long as the terms and conditions of the rental agreement have not been violated.
  • If the terms and conditions are violated, CDW is void and the renter is fully responsible for all costs associated with the repair of the rental vehicle and any related fees.
  • If you decline CDW, you may be responsible for up to the full market value of the car in the event of an accident. If involved in an accident, you must contact your insurance company and obtain a claim number.
  • CDW does not cover any 3rd Parties or Unauthorized drivers.
  • Theft, glass, tires, acts of God & fees associated with the collection of the damages are not covered.
  • If the rental vehicle is damaged or you are involved in an accident/incident, you must contact the local Police Department and obtain an accident report. Failure to obtain an accident report will void CDW.
  • CDW does not have a deductible and is priced at $21.99/day.
  • CDW cannot be purchased by underage renters, local renters, and those paying up front with debit cards. These renters must provide proof of full coverage insurance to rent a vehicle.
  • The new CDW policy is effective as of July 24, 2006.
  Declining Coverage   
  • The renter will be solely responsible for the vehicle itself and any third party claims made against it.
  • Please check with your insurance agent for more information about your state coverage requirements as they compare with the state that you are traveling to.
  LPC   
  • This optional coverage will only cover the renter and/or any authorized drivers personal insurance deductible up to a maximum amount of five hundred dollars.
  • The renter and/or any authorized driver understand that they still must submit a claim to their insurance carrier for the full amount of the claim if it exceeds their deductible.
  • LPC starts at $7.99/day.
  SLI   
  • Supplemental Liability Coverage protects the renter and/or any authorized drivers against claims made by a third party for bodily injury and/or property damage sustained as a result of an accident while operating a rental up to $1,000,000.
  • This coverage is in excess to the renter and/or any authorized drivers own automobile liability insurance and over the underlying insurance specified within your signed rental agreement.
  • SLI is subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement and supplemental liability brochure.
  • A copy of the Supplemental Rental Liability Insurance brochure is available for your review from your rental agent.
  • SLI is priced at $12.99/day.

LOCAL RENTERS
  Local Renters   
  • For those customers who do not have a return airline boarding pass, the following policies apply:
    • Payment Type - Credit Card or Debit Card with a credit card logo
      • We do not accept Debit Cards as a method of payment from Local Renters.
      • The primary driver must provide proof of full coverage insurance in order to rent.
      • Purchase of our Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Limited Protection Coverage (LPC) is not permitted.
      • For Credit Cards, a hold of $200 or 35% over the estimated total, whichever is greater, will be taken at the time of pickup.
      • All rentals are subject to a mileage cap.
    • Payment Type - Cash
      • We do not accept this method of payment from Local Renters.

ONE WAY
  Drop Charge   
  • This fee is assessed for renting a car at one rental location and returning it to a different rental location.
  • The cost of this fee varies depending on drop location and time of year.

  Other Payment Types   
  • We do not accept pre-paid credit cards, electron cards, key chain credit cards, gift cards. We do not accept cash as a form of payment at the time of rental (pickup); however, cash will be accepted upon return. We must be able to make an imprint of the raised type on the credit card in order to accept it.

RESERVATIONS
  Confirmation Number   
  • Your confirmation number is the number that you are given once your reservation has been confirmed. This number can be used to gain access to your reservation information, including your rates, or your rental information once you have picked up the vehicle.
  Guarantee   
  • Your reservation guarantees a car at the rate, date and time that you reserved it for. It does not guarantee a specific make and model of a vehicle, nor can it guarantee a reservation for another date.
  Making a Reservation   
  • You can make a reservation here on our website.
  • You can also call our reservation center at 407-352-3131.
  Min and Max Rental Length   
  • The maximum rental length is 28 days, while the minimum rental length is 1 day. Rates are calculated based on a 24 hour clock, once this clock has gone past the 24 hour period, another day will be charged.
  Rates Offered   
  • We offer weekly and daily rates. The shortest amount of time that a vehicle can be rented for is 1 day. We do not offer hourly or weekend rates at this time.
  Rental Extentions   
  • A rental agreement can be extended over the phone if the rental was secured with a credit card and that specific credit card has been authorized for 35% over the new estimated total. However, if the rental was secured with a debit card or if the credit card on file does not have enough to authorize, the renter must come into the rental location in order to extend the contract. See the specific location for more details concerning extensions.

RULES
  Additional Driver   
  • The charge for additional authorized drivers is $7.99 per day, per additional driver.
  • For those renters who make a reservation directly with E-Z Rent-A-Car either by making the reservation at www.e-zrentacar.com or by calling our reservation center at 1-800-277-5171, the additional driver fee will be waived for the following:
    • The renter’s spouse
    • The renter’s mate, life partner, or similar
      • This can be shown by having the same address on the additional driver’s / renter’s driver’s license.
    • To receive the additional driver discount, the renter must have made a reservation with E-Z Rent-A-Car prior to arrival at the rental counter and have received a confirmation number which begins with MEZ, PEZ, WEZ, or REZ.
  • To qualify as an additional authorized driver, the additional driver must meet all rental qualifications as the primary renter. The following are additional requirements for additional authorized drivers:
    • All additional authorized drivers must be present at the rental counter and sign the rental agreement as an additional authorized driver.
    • All additional drivers must present a valid Driver’s license.
    • For renters under the age of 25, all additional charges and restrictions apply. See Underage Policies.
  • Exceptions
    • For disabled renters who are accompanied by an authorized driver, the additional driver fee will be waived on all rentals.

The additional driver policies may vary in each E-Z Rent-A-Car location. Please be sure to view the policies of the location from which you will be renting.

  Domestic Renters   
  • For those customers who are not local renters, but reside within the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico, the following policies apply. Additional restrictions will apply for renters under the age of 25. Please see Underage Rental Policies.
    • Payment Type - Credit Card
      • The purchase of additional coverage is optional.
      • If additional coverage is not purchased, the primary renter and/or additional driver must sign and initial the rental contract confirming that the vehicle and all liability is their responsibility.
      • A hold in the amount of the estimated total plus $200 will be taken at the time of pickup.
    • Payment Type - Debit Card with a Visa / MasterCard logo
      • Renters must provide a return airline boarding pass or round trip itinerary to rent a vehicle using a debit card.
      • A charge in the amount of the estimated total plus $200 will be taken at the time of pickup. Upon return, any remaining difference will be refunded to the Debit Card.
      • Renters are not permitted to purchase Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) or Limited Protection Coverage (LPC) and proof of insurance must be provided at the time the vehicle is picked up.
    • Payment Type - Cash
      • Cash will be accepted as a form of payment on returning the vehicles, but will not be accepted as a form of payment, whether towards the estimated total or deposit any time before the vehicle is returned.
  Drivers License   
  • The renter must have in his/her immediate possession a valid and current driver license issued by his/her respective department of motor vehicles. In order for the license to be valid, it must pass the following:
    • The license must not be expired.
    • The license must match the renter who is renting the vehicle.
    • If the license uses a P.O. Box as an address, a physical address must be supplied upon renting the vehicle.
    • The name on the driver license must match exactly the imprinted name on the credit card.
  Modifications   
  • We hold the ability to change these posted policies and procedures at any time.
  Out of Country Renters   
  • For those customers who are not local renters, but reside outside of the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico, the following policies apply. Additional restrictions will apply for renters under the age of 25. Please see Underage Rental Policies.
    • Payment Type - Credit Card
      • The primary driver must provide proof of full coverage insurance for the United States in English in order to decline CDW and SLI.
      • If proof of Collision Insurance only is provided, then SLI must be accepted.
      • If proof of Liability Coverage only is provided, then CDW must be accepted.
      • If no proof of coverage is provided, CDW and SLI must be accepted.
      • The rental location will make a copy of the primary driver passport that shows an entry stamp into the United States within the past twenty eight (28) days.
      • The rental location will make a copy of the primary driver license.
      • A hold in the amount of the estimated total plus $200 will be taken at the time of pickup.
    • Payment Type - Debit Card with a Visa / MasterCard logo
      • A charge in the amount of the estimated total plus $200 will be taken at the time of pickup. Upon return, any remaining difference will be refunded to the Debit Card.
      • No specialty vehicles unless proof of full coverage insurance for the United States is provided in English.
      • The primary driver must provide proof of full coverage insurance for the United States in English in order to decline CDW and SLI.
      • If proof of Collision Insurance only is provided, then SLI must be accepted.
      • If proof of Liability Coverage only is provided, then CDW must be accepted.
      • If no proof of coverage is provided, CDW and SLI must be accepted.
      • The rental location will make a copy of the primary driver passport that shows an entry stamp into the United States within the past twenty eight (28) days.
      • The rental location will make a copy of the primary driver license.
    • Payment Type - Cash
      • Cash will be accepted as a form of payment on returning the vehicles, but will not be accepted as a form of payment, whether towards the estimated total or deposit any time before the vehicle is returned.
  Parking Ticket Violations   
  • The primary renter is responsible for all tickets/violations issued to the rental vehicle and must pay these violations to the authorities that issued the ticket.
  • A $50.00 administration fee will be assessed for each ticket/violation.
  Underage   
  • Minimum age for renting a vehicle is 18.
  • The fees for underage renters are as follows:
    • $15.00/day: 21 - 24 years old renting non-specialty vehicles (see FAQs)
    • $25.00/day: 18 - 20 years old renting non-specialty vehicles (see FAQs)
    • $30.00/day: 18 - 24 years old renting specialty vehicles (see FAQs)
  • Underage Drivers are not permitted to rent Luxury Vehicles.
  • Local Renters under 21 are not permitted to rent a vehicle.

TAXES/FEES
  Airport Access Fee   
  • This fee is what we pay to the airport for airport access fees.
  CFC   
  • Customer Facility Charge. This is usuallly a daily fee imposed by the airport authority for the maintainence or construction of a consolidated rental car facility.
  Sales Tax   
  • This is the sales tax for the state, county and city fees.
  Surcharge   
  • This surcharge is dependent on the state in which the vehicle is rented in and is paid to the state for all rental vehicles.
  VLRF   
  • Vehicle License Recoupment Fee - This is a fee for the recoupment of vehicle licensing fees that we pay.
