Renter Qualifications for Texas Locations
Credit
Card Rentals
The imprinted name on the credit card must match exactly
with the name on the driver's license of the renter.
The credit card must be in the immediate possession
of the renter, no credit card information will be taken
over the phone or any other method unless otherwise approved and previously established through corporate programs.
Credit Card Rentals for Local Renters
For renters who are renting a vehicle with a Texas Driver's License and a Texas address without a return airline ticket the following policies apply:
• Local Renters receive 300 free miles per day. Each additional mile is charged $0.25.
• Minimum Age 18.
• No specialty cars* (see FAQs).
• Must have proof of full coverage insurance in order to rent. Local renters are not allowed to purchase E-Z Rent-A-Car's coverage.
• An authorization of $100.00 or 35% over the
estimated total, whichever is greater, must be taken
on the credit card as a deposit.

of State Renters
For US, Canadian and Puerto Rican residents who do not qualify as a local renter, the following
policies apply:
• Unlimited Mileage.
• Minimum Age 18.
• No specialty cars for underage drivers (18-24)* (see FAQs).
• An authorization of $100.00 or 35% over the
estimated total, whichever is greater, must be taken
on the credit card as a deposit.
• If proof of full coverage is not presented,
it is E-Z's policy that the renter purchase CDW and
SLI.

country that their driver's license is issued, the following
policies apply:
• Unlimited Mileage.
• Minimum Age 18.

SLI.

Card Rentals

The debit card must be in the immediate possession of
the renter, no debit card information will be taken
over the phone or any other method.
Debit Card Rentals for Local Renters
For renters who are renting a vehicle with a Texas Driver's License and a Texas address without a return airline ticket the following policies apply:

• Only Economy, Compact and Midsize vehicles are permitted for ages 18 to 24.

• A deposit of $200.00 or 35% above the estimated total, whichever is greater, will be taken.

Cash Rentals
A cash rental applies to any renter who uses cash as
a form of security up front for the vehicle. Any amount
of cash used with any other form of payment will still
be considered a cash rental.
Cash Rentals for Local Renters

Cash Rentals for Out of State Renters
For US, Canadian and Puerto Rican residents who do not qualify as a local renter, the following
policies apply:
• Unlimited Mileage.
• Minimum Age 21.
• A Return Airline ticket that is the length of the rental must be presented.
• If proof of full coverage insurance is not presented,
it is E-Z's policy that the renter purchase CDW and SLI
• If the renter is under 21, proof of full coverage insurance on a personal vehicle must be provided in order to rent a vehicle. E-Z Rent-A-Car will not rent a vehicle without this proof.

• A deposit of $200.00-$500.00 over the
estimated total must be taken.

Cash Rentals for Out of Country Renters
For renters who are renting a vehicle outside of the
country that their driver's license is issued, the following
policies apply:

Coverages/Insurance
Coverage
E-Z Rent-A-Car offers both CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) and SLI (Supplemental Liability Insurance) for all rentals. Please see the general policies for a definition of both.
• CDW is available for $16.99 for Economy, Compact, Midsize and Full Size vehicles
• CDW is available for $24.99 for Premium, Luxury, Minivan, Convertible, SUV and 15 Passenger vehicles
• SLI is available for $9.99 for Economy, Compact, Midsize and Full Size vehicles
• SLI is available for $12.99 for Premium, Luxury, Minivan, Convertible, SUV and 15 Passenger vehicles

Taxes and Fees
Geographical
Limitations
• The rental vehicle cannot be driven out of the
state in which it was rented unless it is specifically
allowed by the rental location.
• For those renting at our Atlanta location, vehicles
are allowed to travel in the following states: Texas,
North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee.
• For those renting at our Dallas location, vehicles
are allowed to travel in the following states: Texas,
Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
• Any vehicle with excessive mileage may be subject
to a mileage charge.
